Perfected Parkour

Improves some of the aspects of parkour the Good Night and Good Luck Update neglected. Intended to be more in line with DL1.

The Good Night and Good Luck Update was a massive success in my opinion when in comes to overhauling the parkour in DL2, however, there are still some issues with the game’s free running that this mod aims to address, namely:

Double Jumps and Active Landing no longer require a start up animation to trigger. Just press the jump key twice, and you’re in the air. These Jumps are also higher and faster than the base game.

NOTE: This change kinda breaks the active landing jump a bit as you can no longer stand still and must be moving either backwards or forward to gain any level of height.

Jumping from hangs and pipes now make use of the logic jump animation instead, just like DL1, and no longer require a start up animation before you can make a maneuver.

Climbing speed has been increased significantly to be more in line with how it functioned in DL1.

In the previous game, you began climbing the moment you grabbed the object and depending upon your parkour level, you’d climb the object either quickly or slowly.

In DL2, not only do you now need to wait far longer than you did in DL1 to begin climbing but the speed at which you clamber onto objects remains seemingly stagnant throughout the entire game.

With this new change, you’ll now be able to get over whatever object you’re climbing far quicker without breaking your flow in the middle of the run.

Installation
The same as any other mod.
Take the Data2.pak file and place it in DL2’s PH>>Source folder

Make Your Own Changes
If you don’t like one of the changes I’ve made here, you can edit them yourself fairly easily by opening the data2.pak file, extracting one of the files to a folder, edit the file, then return the file back to data2.pak.

It’s fairly simple.
